Copycat Sewing

So while browsing around I found this top at Coldwater Creek.

If I remember correctly, this was from a lightweight woven?

But I really liked it and figured that I could find a way to make it.

I took the front of my TNT scoop neck tee.

I began by cutting the front piece on the red line, from approx. where the scoop began on the left side of the neckline and ending just an inch or so to the right of the center front at the hem.

Then I added to the right side of the front piece at the blue lines. I added enough for a wee bit of gathering, without too much.  Everything else stayed the same.

I made this in some 100% tencel from fabric.com.

I really like the assymetrical V neck. I wish all my experiments turn out so well!
